Academician Boli Zhang 张伯礼院士
Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Distinguished National TCM Physician, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Honorary President of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Honorary President of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences; Deputy Chief Technical Expert of the National Major New Drug Creation Program, Expert for formulating project guidelines for the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program Key Special Project on Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Academic Leader of the National Key Discipline of Internal Medicine of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Deputy Chairperson of the Medical Education Expert Committee of the Ministry of Education.
He has dedicated himself to the cause of traditional Chinese medicine for more than 50 years. He has achieved a series of major accomplishments in TCM clinical practice, scientific research, education, internationalization and the modernization of Chinese materia medica. His influence extends nationwide, generating remarkable economic and social benefits and charting the development trajectory of the TCM sector. Over the years, he has undertaken and completed more than 40 national, ministerial and provincial research projects. He has promoted the integrated development of original TCM theories and modern science and technology, established a paradigm for developing modern Chinese medicines based on component compatibility and built the corresponding key technological system, developing multiple component-based Chinese medicines. He pioneered the field of secondary development of proprietary Chinese medicines and cultivated a cluster of high-volume TCM varieties. He took the lead in establishing a key technological system for evidence-based TCM practice. He guided the full involvement of TCM in clinical treatment during the COVID-19 pandemic and set up a technical system for TCM prevention and treatment of COVID-19 infection. He has been awarded 8 national science and technology prizes including the First Class National Award for Progress in Science and Technology, 3 First Class National Teaching Achievement Awards, and 11 First Class Provincial and Ministerial Awards for Progress in Science and Technology.

Prof. Liu Baoyan has been committed to researches on clinical evaluation methods and techniques of TCM for many years, and put forward a clinical research paradigm with characteristics of TCM, and has done a lot of fruitful work for the clinical research of TCM. At the same time, the research on clinical demonstration, standardization and registry and others of acupuncture and moxibustion have been carried out. He led to organize more than 20 major national subjects, including 973 Program, 863 Program, National Sci-Tech Support Plan, Natural Science Foundation of China, etc. He served as the chief scientist in 973 Program. His researches on prevention and control of major infectious diseases such as TCM clinical research methodology, acupuncture and moxibustion standardization research , case registry research on acupuncture and moxibustion, “prevention first” of TCM, chinese and western medicine prevention and treatment of SARS and influenza A (H1N1), TCM prevention and treatment of influenza A (H1N1), hand, foot and mouth disease and epidemic encephalitis B as well as AIDS and viral hepatitis have got prominent results, . Prof. Liu won 3 second prizes of National Scientific and Technological Progress and 9 first or second prizes of Provincial Scientific and Technological Progress. In addition, he published more than 300 academic papers (SCI includes 67, the total impact factor is 104) and 10 books.

刘保延教授长期致力于中医临床评价方法与技术研究，提出了具有中医特色的临床研究范式，为中医药临床研究工作的推进做了大量卓有成效的工作；同时在针灸领域进行了示范性针灸临床研究、针灸标准化、针灸病例注册登记研究等工作。牵头组织实施了973计划、863计划、科技支撑计划、国家自然科学基金等20余项国家重大课题，曾担任973计划首席科学家。获国家科技进步二等奖3项；省部级科技进步一、二等奖9项。发表学术论文300余篇（SCI收录67篇，总影响因子104），著作10部。
Dr Sung Chol Kim 金承哲博士
Dr Sung Chol Kim has been serving as the Unit Head for Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine under the Integrated Health Services Department at WHO Headquarters in Geneva since February 2023. In this capacity, he oversees WHO’s global efforts to harness the potential contribution of traditional, complementary, and integrative medicine to integrated health services, Universal Health Coverage, and the achievement of health-related Sustainable Development Goals. Prior to joining WHO Headquarters, Dr Kim was the Regional Advisor for Traditional Medicine at the WHO Regional Office for South-East Asia in New Delhi from 2013 to 2023, where he worked closely with member states to strengthen traditional medicine systems across the region. From 2003 to 2009, he worked at the WHO Country Office, focusing on public health initiatives at the national level. Prior to this, he spent 10 years at the Academic institution of Traditional Medicine Science.
Dr Kim’s expertise spans traditional medicine research, clinical practice, policy and regulatory system development, and the integration of traditional medicine into health service delivery. His experience also includes monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of traditional medicine systems, as well as the development of integrative clinical practice guidelines.
Dr Kim holds a doctoral degree in biomedicine and traditional medicine, along with a master’s degree in public health.
金成哲博士自2023年2月起担任世界卫生组织日内瓦总部综合卫生服务司传统、补充与整合医学部门负责人。在此岗位上，他统筹世卫组织在全球范围内推动传统、补充与整合医学融入综合卫生服务、全民健康覆盖及健康相关可持续发展目标实现的各项工作。

Dr. Chan Kwok Ki 陈国基博士
Dr. Chan Kwok Ki is a registered medical practitioner in Hong Kong and a specialist in Plastic Surgery with extensive clinical experience in the professional medical field. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong. His distinguished professional qualifications include Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Fellow of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong, and Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Surgery). He also holds a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Bath, UK, and a Diploma in Practical Dermatology from Cardiff University, UK.
Dr. Chan is deeply committed to public service and healthcare-related services. He holds several key appointments, serving as the Deputy Commissioner of the Auxiliary Medical Service, a substantive member of the Human Organ Transplant Board, committee member of the Licentiate Committee of the Medical Council of Hong Kong, and a Vice President of The Hong Kong Life Saving Society. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to the community, he was awarded the Medal of Honour (MH) and appointed as a Justice of the Peace (JP) by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. He is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pok Oi Hospital.
陈国基博士，香港注册医生，毕业于香港大学医学院，为整形外科专科医生，并为英国爱丁堡皇家外科医学院院士、香港外科医学院院士、香港医学专科学院院士（外科）、英国巴斯大学体育及运动医学硕士、英国卡的夫大学实用皮肤科文凭，拥丰富临床医疗经验。
陈博士积极投身公共及医疗相关服务，包括担任医疗辅助队副总监、人体器官移植委员会实任成员、香港医务委员会执照组委员、中国香港拯溺总会副会长等，并获香港特区政府颁授政府荣誉勋章（MH）及委任为太平绅士（JP），现任博爱医院董事局主席。

Dr. med. Thomas Braun 托马斯·布劳恩 医学博士
Vice-President, WFAS · Medical Director, Outpatient Clinic Rötz · Director, Department for Science and Education, ATCÄ Dr. Thomas Braun (born 10 March 1962) has been a licensed physician (M.D.) since 1987. He holds the academic degree of Dr. med. in Western medicine and a B.Ac. in Traditional Chinese Medicine. His official medical qualifications span Internal Medicine, Acupuncture, Sports Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Manual Medicine, Quality Management, Outpatient Surgery, Diagnostic Radiology and Traumatology (D-Arzt). He is Medical Director of the outpatient clinic in Rötz (also approved for inpatient care). He serves as Director of the Department for Science and Education of the ATCÄ (the Association of Physicians Trained in Acupuncture and TCM in China), as Vice-President of the WFAS and a member of its Education Working Committee, and is a physician authorized to provide further training in acupuncture by the Bavarian State Medical Association.

PD Dr. med. Sven Schröder is a neurologist, researcher, and has served as Managing Director of the HanseMerkur Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) since 2010. The center is one of Europe’s leading academic institutions for integrative Chinese medicine. He completed his habilitation in 2018 on the neurological effects of Chinese medicine and serves as Adjunct Professor at Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Since 2018, he has directed the German–Chinese postgraduate Master’s programme in Traditional Chinese Medicine, jointly established by UKE and Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
His research focuses on acupuncture and Chinese medicine in neurological disorders, particularly peripheral neuropathy, post-stroke motor dysfunction, and integrative neurorehabilitation. He has served as principal investigator for several clinical studies on diabetic and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy using objective neurophysiological outcome measures, including nerve conduction studies. His current research focuses on Chinese herbal medicine for the prevention and treatment of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and cancer-related fatigue.
Dr. Schröder has authored more than 75 peer-reviewed scientific publications and has played a leading role in establishing academic and research collaborations between Germany and China. He is Head of the German delegation to ISO/TC 249 Traditional Chinese Medicine and Convenor of Working Group 2, which develops international standards for the quality and safety of manufactured Chinese herbal medicinal products.

Olivier Dinichert is a senior expert in higher education and vocational training in Switzerland. He has served as Head of the Division for Higher Education and Sports at the Department of Education and Culture of the Canton of Aargau since 2013. He holds an MPA from the University of Bern and studied history and French in Bern and Paris. Prior to this, he was project manager for the Brugg‑Windisch campus from 2007 to 2012, and from 2000 to 2007 he coordinated EU education programmes for the German‑speaking part of Switzerland. Beyond his government role, he is a member of the Swiss University Conference and Vice‑President of its Plenary Assembly and Council, Vice‑President of the Council of the Intercantonal University of Special Education Zurich (HfH), and since 2018 a member of the Council of the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (IFFP). He also serves as Vice‑President of the Council of the Roman Catholic Church of the Canton of Aargau. His work focuses on public‑private interaction in vocational education and training, which he regards as a key driver of Switzerland’s innovation strength.

Gemeindeammann (Mayor) of Bad Zurzach, Canton of Aargau, Switzerland
Andi Meier has served as Gemeindeammann (Mayor) of Bad Zurzach since the municipality’s formation through the fusion of eight former communities in 2022. He was first elected in September 2020 as the top vote-getter in his constituency, securing 631 votes, and was re-elected in 2025. Born in 1979, he is a resident of Böbikon and runs as an independent (parteilos). Prior to becoming Gemeindeammann, he served as municipal clerk (Gemeindeschreiber) for several local municipalities. In his role as Gemeindeammann, he is responsible for strategic municipal leadership and development, personnel management, site marketing, commerce and industry, spatial planning, school infrastructure, communication, tourism, and police affairs

Aimée Centivany Aurousseau
Aimée Centivany Aurousseau (MPH, MAc) is a clinical professor of Chinese medicine ophthalmology at Five Branches University (USA) and teaches Chinese medicine theory at l’École Ming Tao (France). She combines her expertise in acupuncture and public health to develop innovations in the treatment of eye diseases and vision disorders within the fields of Chinese medicine. Aimée’s research has led to the Eye System theoretical framework, an approach to diagnosis and treatment that integrates evidence-based scientific understandings of sensory perception with important insights regarding eye function as cited in the Neijing and the writings of Li Shizhen.
Prof. Mehmet Tuğrul Cabioğlu
Prof. Dr. Mehmet Tuğrul Cabioğlu graduated from İstanbul University’s Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1983. He trained in acupuncture at the China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (1990–1991) and completed his PhD on “Weight Loss among the Obese due to Acupuncture Stimulation” at Konya Selçuk University’s Physiology Department (1999–2002). In 2007, he joined Başkent University Faculty of Medicine as a physiology academician, where he founded the Acupuncture Cure Unit and later (2015) the Center for Contemporary and Complementary Medical Applications. He became assistant professor (2010), associate professor (2011), and professor (2017). Since 2000, he has served on the Ministry of Health’s Acupuncture Scientific Institution, and from 2017, on its Supreme Council for Contemporary and Complementary Medical Science. He is Vice President of the Ankara Acupuncture and Complementary Medical Association, a 2018 board member of the World Federation of Acupuncture–Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), and founder of the Pharmacopuncture Association (2025). He also serves on the scientific board of the Turkish Traditional and Complementary Medicine Institute. He has 55 SCI/SCI-expanded and international index publications on acupuncture, has helped organize five congresses, worked at Ankara Medipol University’s physiology department, and speaks good English.
Prof. Hyocheong Chae
Hyocheong Chae, KMD, PhD, is a professor at the College of Korean Medicine, Daejeon University, and serves as Director of Planning and Journal Editorial Affairs at the Korean Medical Society of Acupotomy. She practices at Seonyujae Korean Medicine Clinic, treating pain and various disorders using acupuncture and acupotomy based on neuroanatomical mechanisms. She will present treatment strategies for refractory headaches, including migraine and trigeminal neuralgia.
Dr. Samson Cheung
Dr. Samson Cheung received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of California, Davis in 1989. He then served at NASA Ames Research Center in California for thirty years, receiving rigorous training in scientific logic. Driven by a deep love for Chinese culture, he has conducted in-depth research on the “Book of Change; Yijing”, Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology), Bazi (Four Pillars of Destiny), and Feng Shui. He founded the non-profit organization “School of Yimutology ” (www.yimutology.org) in the San Francisco Bay Area, dedicated to promoting traditional wisdom. Later, he devoted himself to the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Five-Branches College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (www.fivebranches.edu/faculty/all-teaching-faculty/), teaching in both Master’s and Doctoral programs (DAOM), striving to integrate Eastern philosophy and Western science to explore new paradigms in integrative medicine.
Dr. Ching Chi
Dr. Ching Chi, PhD, LAc, is a clinician, educator, and author in Traditional Chinese Medicine, specializing in Fang Scalp Acupuncture. With over 20 years of experience, she has concretized a unique clinical approach called the TCM Unified Principles (UP) Method.
Dr. Chi’s UP Method integrates modern Fang Scalp Acupuncture — which modulates the central and neuroendocrine systems— with the classical Five Shu points and holographic microsystems — which regulate the peripheral nervous system. This integrative method allows her to effectively treat a variety of complex and chronic conditions.
As the director of Care Comfort Cure TCM Medical Group in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Chi maintains a busy practice. She teaches classes at Five Branches University, continuing education courses online, and a residency program at her clinic. She strives to uplift the TCM profession, and excels at explaining traditional principles in a way both professionals and patients alike can comprehend.
Dr. Mauro Cucci
Dr. Mauro Cucci is a Medical Doctor from Milan, Italy, specializing in Neuropsychiatry and Psychotherapy, with extensive expertise in Acupuncture, Homeopathy, and Phytotherapy.
He is the Founder, Director, and Teacher of the Italian Advanced School of Acupuncture, and serves as the Lombardia Region Representative for AIAM. He is a past member of the Italian Superior Council of Health.
His academic career includes teaching at the AIAM Acupuncture School and lecturing for the Post-Graduate Master’s programme in Acupuncture and TCM at Sapienza University, Rome. He has also taught acupuncture at the Universities of Sassari, Ancona, and Padova.
Dr. Xin-Yi Deng
Dr. Xin-Yi Deng has 30 years of clinical experience and holds a master’s degree and is a doctoral candidate at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She currently serves as the Director of the Huai En Tang Traditional Chinese Medicine United System, was formerly the President of the Taoyuan Primary Healthcare Association, and has served as the Project Host for the Physician Training Program under the Medical Review and Teaching Committee of the Ministry of Health and Welfare in Taiwan. She has long been dedicated to the integration of Chinese and Western medicine, specializing in chronic diseases, cancer, immunology, and neurology, while demonstrating expertise in clinical practice, teaching, and research. Wen-Long Hu
Wen-Long Hu is a senior staff member of the Department of Chinese Medicine at Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (KCGMH) and an adjunct professor at Fooyin University and Kaohsiung Medical University. Wen-Long is currently the honorary president of the Taiwan TCM Medical Association and president of the Taiwan Medical Association of Integrative Medicine for Ophthalmology. He has been engaged in clinical practice of laser acupuncture treatment for 32 years and acupuncture clinical practice for 38 years. Shi Lei, a clinical master of traditional Chinese medicine, graduated from Shuguang Clinical School of Medicine, Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2019. Prof. Lin Ling
Lin Ling is a Professor at the Swiss University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specializing in TCM Anthropology, Classical Chinese Health-Preservation Theory, and Time-Space Acupuncture. She holds the position of Distinguished Professor at Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine and serves as Visiting Professor at Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine. She is also a practicing TCM physician at the Swiss Chinamedica Center for Chinese Medicine.
In clinical practice, she is specialized in the application of Qi-transformation acupuncture and Time-Space acupuncture for preventive medicine as well as for the treatment of complex and difficult conditions across multiple medical fields. In Switzerland’s sports community, she is widely recognized as the “acupuncturist who helps produce Winter Olympic champions.”
She is a co-translator of the Chinese-German edition of the WHO Standard Acupuncture Point Locations and a member of the editorial board of several academic works, including the Emei Medical School Series. Her current research focuses on multi-center, single-blind, randomized controlled clinical trials investigating the efficacy of the Feiteng-Bafa (Flying-Soaring Eight Methods) of Time-Space Acupuncture for the treatment of insomnia, conducted primarily at the Chongqing Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital’s Acupuncture Department and Sleep Center.
Dr. Yingxian Lu
Yingxian Lu received her PhD in Electronic, Photonic and Systems Engineering from Université Paris-Est Marne la Vallée (France) in 2018. She then joined the research group of Prof. Yigong Shi at Tsinghua University (China) to receive postdoctoral training. In 2023, she joined Westlake University as research associate professor.
From 2018, Dr. Lu focused on bio-responses or bio-effects of electromagnetic (EM) stimulations including electrical currents (EC), electric (EF), magnetic (MF), or electromagnetic fields(EMF), electromagnetic waves (EMW), etc. She developed various characterization systems for capturing minute variations of different biological subjects during the mild EM stimulations. During her exploration, she unexpectedly discovered that acupoints show special electrical features and obsess electrical plasticity. Her current research interest is the mechanism of the special electrical properties of acupoints and their electrical plasticity.
Dr. Thomas Meyer,
Thomas Meyer, MA, Dr. phil., is a sports scientist and physical therapist specializing in acupuncture in physical therapy. He developed a distinct approach to Ashi point acupuncture based on pulling palpation of subcutaneous connective tissue, redefining it as a primary diagnostic and therapeutic entry point. Prof. Zhu Miansheng
Zhu Miansheng was among China’s first cohort of TCM postgraduate students in 1978, studying under Professor Ren Yingqiu at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine. She holds a French Doctorate in Sciences and serves as Lifelong Professor at Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine, Honorary Professor at Kunming Medical University, and doctoral supervisor at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine, and the Swiss University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Niloo Nikpour (DAOM, MTOM, LAc) is a Board licensed acupuncturist and confounder of Institute of Acupuncture and Lifestyle Medicine in Laguna Niguel, California.
Niloo completed her master’s degree in economics and worked as a corporate economist for nearly 20 years. Then, overworked, stressed and exhausted, she picked up a Book of Tao from a bookstore, which resonated within her innermost ground of being and transformed her reality. Niloo left her corporate job, spent the next 15 years learning from East Asian wisdom, practiced yoga and meditation as the backbone of her journey to self-discovery and vitality. Dr. tcm Saroj K. Pradhan (SP): SP is a senior researcher at the SWISS TCM UNI and Deputy Director TCM Ming Dao AG. He previously served as Vice President of the International Jing Fang TCM Congress in Bad Zurzach, Switzerland. He has published review articles on controversy topic about daith piercing in the treatment of migraine. An interview associated with the publication was featured on YouTube by the American Headache Society. His recent publication includes A Comparative Review of Biological Rhythms in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Western Medicine. S.P. specializes in acupuncture treatment for patients with headache disorders (HD). In this context, he developed a simple and feasible acupuncture technique tailored for patients with HD. This technique demonstrated promising results in a pilot study involving patients with chronic headache disorders treated in a headache rehabilitation clinic.
Dr. Xiaoyan Ren
Dr. Xiaoyan Ren, M.D., Ph.D., is a professor, chief physician, and TCM aesthetic physician. She serves as President of the International Acupuncture Cosmetology Association (USA) (IACA), President of the Special Committee of Embedding Research of WFCMS, and Director of the Department of Acupuncture Aesthetics at SWISSTCMUNI, where she acts as doctoral supervisor. Over nearly 30 years, Dr. Ren developed the evolution from traditional acupoint embedding to her proprietary Ren’s acupuncture-embedding system. Peizheng Shi is a PhD candidate in Clinical and Translational Sciences at the University of Pisa. Prof. Binjiang Wu 吴滨江
Professor Wu Binjiang is a Ph.D. supervisor and President of the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Canada). He concurrently serves as Vice President of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), Vice President of the World Federation of Acupuncture-Moxibustion Societies (WFAS), Chair of the WFAS Inheritance Working Committee, and Vice Chair of the WFCMS Education Steering Committee.
He is the direct disciple of Professor Zhang Jin, a representative inheritor of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage Acupuncture and Moxibustion of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He served as the lead editor of Science and Art at the Tip of the Needle, which received First Prize in the inaugural World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies Book Awards in 2023.
